NTR contracts with seed corn companies to provide custom services for male row flaming/cutting, mechanical detasseling, male row destruction and seed corn harvesting.
Work Needed:
Early Summer, May 10 – June 20
Mid-Summer, June 20 – August 1
Late Summer, August 1 – October 1
Combination
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Competitive wages + overtime, more for experience. Peak work load may require 7 days a week.
- Mileage/Lodging paid
- Training provided; Ag experience a plus but not required

Tuition Assistance Program
We offer a Tuition Assistance Program for summer or summer and fall options. The program is open to students aged 18 and over. We pay up to $5,000 per semester for Summer and Fall employees.
Summer employment programs typically will start in mid-May and run through mid-August.
Summer / Fall employment programs will start in mid-May and run through October, possibly into November.
Wages are determined by experience.
Overtime will be paid after 40 hrs. Most weeks will have overtime included.
Mileage will be paid if employee uses his/her personal vehicle to travel.
All hotels/lodging is paid if we are working away from employee’s home area.
You may be required to work 7 days a week during peak work load times.
Summer Peak Work Load Times: July 4 through July 15.
Fall Peak Work Load Times: August 20th through October 1st.
Work areas are:
Beardstown, IL
Manito, IL
DeLand, IL
Employees may also work surrounding areas from these hubs.
Full-time employment is an option after graduation.
